The ceremonial seat of the Argentine Chancellery is called San Martín Palace

The ceremonial seat of the Argentine Chancellery is called San Martín Palace. It is in front of the San Martín Square and it is a palace of Fine Arts that belonged to the Anchorena family, one of the most aristocratic of ancient Argentina. The building dates from 1905 and draws attention for its facade, columns and arches. Inside there is a collection of Argentine and American paintings of the 20th century, a selection of pre-Columbian art and a library specialized in law and international relations.

Hint: It is possible to visit the interior of the Chancellery by noting on one of its guided tours. Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2:00 pm are the visits in Spanish, and at 3:00 pm are in English.
