One of the most unique buildings of Buenos Aires
Horarios de atención: Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 24 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays from 12 a.m. to 7 p.m.
In Agüero 2502 is one of the most unique buildings in the City. The headquarters of the National Library, of brutalist design, is built on four pillars; allowing the garden to be appreciated and the reading rooms to function as viewpoints of the city and the River Plate. It is extremely interesting to enter and explore its permanent and itinerant collections. Not only can books be found: within the National Library there is also a collection of videos, newspapers, photos, maps, audios, historical archives, books in Braille for blind people and a space called "Treasury Room"; with collections of highly valuable books because of their age and relevance.
Hint: the entrance to the National Library is free, although you must present an identification that will be retained until the exit of the building. It is open every day: Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 12 midnight, and Saturdays and Sundays from 12 noon to 7 p.m.
