The Seat of the Argentine Government
Horarios de atención: Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5:30pm
In Balcarce 50 is nothing more and nothing less than the seat of the National Executive Power: the Casa Rosada. Legend has it that during its construction, at the end of the 19th century, there were not many colors available to paint it. And it ended up being pink because it is the color that was formed when mixing lime and cow's blood: a color very used at that time. It functions as the seat of the government of our country since approximately 1886. Not only is the building superb and ideal for taking photos to remember the trip through Buenos Aires, but also recently visitors are allowed to access the back garden of the Casa Rosada with flowers, fountains and a new greenhouse.
Hint: it is possible to access the interior of the Casa Rosada through a guided tour. They are made only on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays and it is necessary to reserve a place through the website https://visitas.casarosada.gob.ar/. It is only allowed to do so up to 15 days in advance.
